Let Me Be Free b/w Every Now And Then

The rarest record to grace the orange and black Tragar label comes courtesy of Sonia Rossman, the fourteen-year-old lead soloist for Atlanta’s Union Baptist church. Pressed in a promotional-only run of 100 in 1969, the single would be the second to last on the Jesse Jones-run label. Shortened to Sonia Ross on the single, her original composition ā€œLet Me Be Freeā€ opts for a faster tempo, while the Jones-authored ballad ā€œEvery Now And Thenā€ puts her back in Dionne Warwick and Roberta Flack territory.

Pressed in an edition of 200, this 45 was only available at Numero Factory Outlet: Atlanta, on April 22nd 2017.
